About us
Chesapeake roofing companies: what to expect from us
We do roofs — repair, replacement, storm damage, inspections and metal — across Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth and Suffolk. No door-knocking after storms, no same-day-only pricing, and a written scope on every job.
How we work
We inspect before we quote. Every estimate comes from the roof and the attic. If a roofer prices your replacement from the driveway with a satellite measurement and never opens the attic hatch, they haven't seen the decking, the ventilation, or the water trail — and you'll find out on invoice day.
We build for this coast. Class H wind-rated architectural shingles with six nails per shingle, synthetic underlayment, membrane in every valley and around every penetration, new flashing on every job, and coastal-grade metal when metal is the answer. A roof that would be fine in Richmond isn't good enough three miles from the Bay.
We tell you when you don't need us. If a $350 pipe boot fixes it, that's the quote. If your roof has four more years, we'll say so and see you then. The best roofers in Chesapeake are the ones who'll tell you not to buy a roof yet.
We put it in writing. One page, itemized, good for 30 days. Materials named, warranty stated, permit included.
Licensing and insurance in Virginia
Virginia requires anyone contracting for roofing work over $1,000 to hold a contractor license from the Board for Contractors (DPOR): Class C for jobs under $10,000, Class B up to $120,000, and Class A with no limit, with the RBC (residential building contractor) specialty for house work. We carry it. You can look up any contractor at dpor.virginia.gov in under a minute — search the business name, check the class and the expiry date.
We also carry general liability and workers' compensation, and we'll send the certificates before a crew arrives. Ask every roofer for the same. The ones who hesitate are the ones whose crew's injury becomes your homeowners claim.
Residential and commercial
Most of our work is residential roofing Chesapeake wide — single-family homes, townhomes, and rental properties. We also handle small commercial roofing Chesapeake businesses need: low-slope TPO and modified bitumen on offices, shops and churches along Battlefield Boulevard and in Greenbrier's commercial corridor. If a job is bigger than that, we'll say so and point you to someone who does large flat roofs all day.
Where we work
Based in Chesapeake — Great Bridge, Greenbrier, Hickory, Deep Creek, Western Branch, South Norfolk, Indian River — and across the rest of Hampton Roads: Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Suffolk. Roofing Suffolk VA homeowners need out to Harbour View and Driver is regular territory, and we cross into Moyock and Currituck County when asked. Area codes 757 and 948.
